The 2nd Brigade is offering members of the Texas Division the opportunity to purchase the Lt. Gen. John Bell Hood Purple Heart Medal, recognizing Confederate ancestors who were wounded or killed during military service.

This offering is limited and is being made available to the Texas Division prior to a planned broader release across the Confederation.

Medal Description

The Lt. Gen. John Bell Hood Purple Heart Medal is intended to honor documented service-related wounds or death of Confederate ancestors. Each medal is accompanied by a complimentary frameable certificate, suitable for display or inclusion in family or historical records.

An optional Silver Star Device is available for ancestors who sustained multiple wounds during service.

  • Certificate: Included at no additional cost

Availability

  • Initial production: 100 medals
  • Currently available: 90 medals remaining

Wider availability across the Confederation is anticipated in February, subject to remaining inventory.

Application and Approval Process

All requests must be submitted through and approved by the appropriate commanders. Applications that do not follow the established chain of command will not be processed.
