“Words of Thought”
December 20th, 2025
The following is taken from one of my Daily Devotional Books.
His royal title: Wonderful.
And Christ became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was of loving forgiveness and truth. And some of us have seen his glory—the glory of the only Son of the heavenly Father. Your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.
He shall be called Emmanuel meaning God with us. Jesus: he will save his people from their sin.
Everyone will honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other name. Far, far above any other king or ruler or dictator or leader. Yes, his honor is far more glorious than that of anyone else either in this world or in the world to come. And God has put all things under his feet. A name written on his forehead, and only he knew its meaning…King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty. If there is any other, what is his name?
Below are some scriptures related to the above writing. All are taken from the KJV Bible.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Psalm 138:2
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:23
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21
That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. John 5:23
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Philippians 2:9
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Ephesians 1:21-22
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.—- And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19:12, 16
Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty. Job37:23
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell? Proverbs 30:4
