Below is a daily devotional taken from one of my daily devotional books.

Many waters cannot quench the flame of love, neither can the floods drown it. Love is strong as death. The greatest love is shown when a person lays down his life for his friends.

He personally carried the load of our sins in His own body when He died on the cross, so that we can be finished with sin and live a good life from now on. For His wounds have healed ours! So overflowing in His kindness towards us that He took away all our sins through the blood of His Son, by whom we are saved.

Your sins are washed away, and you are set apart for God, and He has accepted you because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you. You have been chosen by God himself—you are priest of the King, you are holy and pure, you are God’s very own—all this so that you may show to others how God called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light. I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living sacrifice, holy—the kind He can accept. When you think of what He has done for you, is this too much to ask?
