“Words of Thought”

July 12, 2025

The below is taken from one of my daily Bible devotional books.

Let us outdo each other in being helpful and kind to each other and in doing good.

Timely advice is as lovely as golden apples in a silver basket.

Those who fear and loved the Lord spoke often of him to each other. And he had a Book of Remembrance drawn up in which he recorded the names of those who feared him and loved to think about him. If two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask for, my Father in heaven will do it for you.

The Lord god said, “It isn’t good for man to be alone.” Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better. If one falls, the other pulls him up; but if a man falls when he is alone, he’s in trouble.

Live in such a way that you will never make your brother stumble by letting him see you doing something he thinks is wrong. If your brother is bothered by what you eat, you are not acting in love if you go ahead and eat it. Don’t undo the work of God for a chunk of meat. Remember, there is nothing wrong with meat, but it is wrong to eat it if it makes another stumble. Share each other’s troubles and problems, and so obey our Lord’s command.

Below are some scriptures from the KJV Bible related to the above writing.

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Hebrews 10:24

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. Proverbs 25:11

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. Malachi 3:16

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 18:19

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Gensis 2:18

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.— Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.— He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; Romans 14:13, 15, 20

Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
