Texas Division SCV Honors Confederate Veterans Through Wreaths Across America

The Texas Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans, is proud to participate in Wreaths Across America at the Texas State Cemetery, one of the most meaningful opportunities to honor our Confederate ancestors and preserve their legacy of sacrifice.

The Texas State Cemetery is the final resting place of over 2,200 Confederate Veterans—the largest such concentration in Texas. This makes the Texas Division’s participation in Wreaths Across America especially significant as we strive to ensure that no veteran is forgotten this Christmas season.

How to Support – Sponsor a Wreath

The Texas Division is asking each member and supporter to sponsor at least one wreath through our official group link:

👉 Sponsor a wreath here: www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/TX1603

  • $17 per wreath
  • Every sponsorship helps ensure that a wreath is placed on the grave of a veteran who gave all for his country.

Volunteer Opportunities – Save the Dates

We invite all compatriots, families, and the public to join us in volunteering during this important remembrance:

Friday, December 12, 2025 – 9:00 a.m.

  • Off-load 3,200+ wreaths from the 18-wheeler
  • Prepare wreaths for placement across the cemetery grounds
  • Estimated time: ~1.5 hours (depending on turnout)

Saturday, December 13, 2025 – 11:00 a.m.

  • Wreath Day Ceremony at the Texas State Cemetery
  • Public welcome – bring family and friends
  • Join in placing over 3,200 wreaths on veteran headstones
  • Estimated time: ~1 hour

Preserving Heritage and Remembrance

This is a powerful opportunity for the Texas Division SCV to demonstrate our commitment to remembrance and heritage. By sponsoring wreaths and volunteering, together we can ensure that the sacrifices of the Confederate Veterans resting at the Texas State Cemetery are honored and remembered.

The Texas Division SCV has already committed to purchasing quite a few wreaths. If you’d like to help boost the number of wreaths contributed, please use the link in the article.
