Naval Historian and Author Becomes Member of SCV Camp #992
The General Jerome B. Robertson Camp #992 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) has officially welcomed Stephen C. Kinnaman as its newest member. His application for membership was recently approved, and he participated in an initiation ceremony on November 6, 2024, during the camp’s monthly meeting.

A Connection to Confederate Heritage
Although Kinnaman was raised in upstate New York and northern New Jersey, he later discovered his Confederate ancestry through family research. His Virginia grandmother provided insight into his Southern lineage, strengthening his connection to Confederate history and leading to his decision to join the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
