LEADERSHIP AWARDS

The SCV’s Leadership Awards offer Camps in the Texas Division a unique opportunity to collaborate with local educational institutions, including high schools, colleges, Junior and college ROTC, and the Boy Scouts. This initiative aims to create a positive SCV presence among both students and faculty, serving as an effective public relations tool at a minimal cost to participating Camps.

In the words of General Pat Cleburne, CSA: ‘Surrender means that the history of this heroic struggle will be written by the enemy; that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers; will learn from Northern school books their version of the War; will be impressed by all the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors, and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.’

For inquiries and award costs, please contact the Student Awards Coordinator. A fee of $15.00 ($30.00 for the H L Hunley Award) covers the certificate, ribbon bar, and mailing expenses, which will be the responsibility of the presenting Camp
