Honoring Excellence in Leadership and Community

The Sons of Confederate Veterans’ Leadership Awards provide Camps in the Texas Division a unique opportunity to recognize and support local educational institutions. By collaborating with high schools, colleges, Junior and Senior ROTC programs, and Boy Scouts, these awards promote a positive SCV presence among students and faculty, while serving as an effective public relations tool for participating Camps.

• H. L. Hunley Award: $30.00 (Note: These awards are ordered from National Headquarters, so processing times may vary. To minimize delays, bulk orders are encouraged.)

Each award includes:

• Ribbon bar
• Shipping to your Camp

This ensures payments are tracked before forwarding to the Division Adjutant.

JROTC and ROTC award ceremonies typically occur between April and May, making this a short but impactful season. Submitting requests promptly helps avoid delays and extra shipping costs.

Many schools allow SCV members to sponsor and present these awards during ceremonies. This approach minimizes concerns schools may have about submitting expenses for the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Marine and Army JROTC programs, ROTC programs, and Boy Scouts remain eligible for all awards except the Lee and Hunley Awards.
